Sonos, WiiM or HEOS?

Start with the rooms, music apps and equipment you already use. These are three systems to discuss—not a promise that different brands will group or share every feature.

Sonos Amp

Power passive speakers and add them to a Sonos multiroom system.

Already use Sonos? Decide which rooms should play together and which need independent control.

Manufacturer details

WiiM Amp

Power passive speakers, connect a TV over HDMI ARC and group compatible WiiM devices.

Check your music services, existing speakers and the exact Amp model; features vary across the range.

Manufacturer details

Denon Home Amp / HEOS

Power passive speakers, connect TV audio over HDMI eARC and group HEOS-enabled devices.

Already have HEOS equipment? List the rooms and sources you want to connect.

Manufacturer details

We check current model specifications, speaker loads, wiring and network requirements for your project. A speaker count alone does not determine how many independent zones you can control.

Speakers that suit your room.

Elura is a regular part of PHE’s installations. Kyle values its sound from firsthand experience, and we plan the speaker layout and supporting equipment around each room.

Sonance and MartinLogan are also part of the conversation, with Bowers & Wilkins and Klipsch considered according to the project. Existing speakers, room use and wiring access guide the choice.

Whole-Home Audio questions.

Can different rooms play different music?

Yes, with a system designed for independent listening zones. The equipment and music sources determine what is supported.

Do I need in-ceiling speakers?

No. Architectural speakers, freestanding speakers and connected products such as Sonos can suit different spaces.

Can existing ceiling speakers be reused?

Possibly. We review speaker models, wiring condition and amplifier requirements before recommending what to keep.

When should I plan wiring for a remodel?

Before walls and ceilings are closed. Share floor plans and your contractor’s schedule so cable routes and speaker positions can be coordinated.
