Start with what is not working.
No sound from the TV? Dialogue hard to hear? A new streaming device that does not play nicely with the receiver? PHE helps Greater Phoenix homeowners assess existing AV systems and plan practical upgrades before replacing everything.

A useful place to start.
- Note exactly what fails
Does the problem affect TV apps, a streaming box or every source? Write down any on-screen message and what changed before the problem started.
- Check the selected source
Confirm mute, volume and the selected input using your equipment manuals. For TV audio over HDMI ARC/eARC, verify that the connected ports support that function; not every HDMI port does.
- Keep the setup intact
Take connection photos before moving equipment. Avoid a factory reset as a first step: it can erase a working setup. Internal equipment repairs are different from installation and configuration service.

TV sound & receiver connections
We review how TV apps and external sources reach the receiver or soundbar. Inputs, supported audio formats, HDMI connections and device settings can each explain why one source works while another does not.
Dialogue & uneven sound
Tell us whether speech is unclear, one speaker is silent or the bass changes from seat to seat. We review the layout, speaker connections and available receiver settings before recommending changes.
Receiver & source upgrades
A new receiver may add useful connections or processing, but it must suit your speakers, display and sources. We identify what can stay and what needs to change as part of the agreed installation scope.
Remotes & everyday operation
If starting a movie takes several remotes, we review the control sequence and compatible ways to simplify it. Equipment support determines whether an integrated remote or control system is suitable.
Start with your space.
Send TV, receiver, soundbar and source model numbers, photos of the connections, and a short description of when the problem occurs. Include your city and the equipment you hope to keep.

Home Theater Upgrades & Troubleshooting questions.
Can you help with a home theater PHE did not install?
Share the equipment details and symptoms so we can assess the requested scope. An existing system may need connection changes, configuration, replacement equipment or specialist repair. We confirm the proposed work before proceeding.
Does no sound mean my receiver is broken?
Not necessarily. Source selection, connections, supported formats or settings may be involved. Describe which sources and speakers work so the issue can be investigated without assuming the receiver needs replacement.
Can you add surround sound without replacing my TV?
Often, a compatible audio upgrade can reuse the display. TV audio outputs, receiver support, speaker locations and wiring access determine the options.
Is troubleshooting included with membership?
PHE Membership includes technical support during working hours and member service benefits. Ask the team how those benefits apply to your particular issue; equipment, parts and additional work are confirmed separately.
