Plan front, center and surround channels around the seats. Rear surrounds add another placement decision; more channels do not automatically suit every room.

Discuss compatible receiver processing and suitable height-speaker options. Ceiling access, speaker locations and the room layout shape what is practical.

Dialogue & bass

Review the center speaker and subwoofer alongside the room and seating. Placement, receiver settings and listening levels all affect the result.

Receiver, wiring & controls

Check channel support, connections and cable routes before selecting equipment. Existing speakers may be reusable after their condition and compatibility are reviewed.

Do I need a dedicated theater room?

No. A shared living room can support surround sound. We plan around furniture, room use, wiring access and realistic speaker positions.

Can my current receiver support more speakers?

The exact model determines supported channels and formats. Spare speaker terminals alone do not establish which channels can operate together.

Can the speaker wires be hidden?

Options include suitable in-wall low-voltage wiring or surface routes where access allows. Electrical work and finish repairs are specified separately.

Can you upgrade just part of my system?

Yes, discuss the equipment you want to keep. We review compatibility and agree which changes belong in the installation.
